Global Thinking-Global Learning Programme (Primary Schools)
The Global Thinking - Global Learning Programme equips teachers with the inspiration as well as the practical tools and strategies to enhance global learning within the whole school community.
Using real life examples from schools that have embarked on their own global learning journeys with impressive results in terms of pupil motivation and achievement, our programme ensures you have the opportunity to identify the issues and solutions relevant to your own school community.
The full programme includes three separate half day sessions which can be taken over a school year or they can be delivered as Twilight sessions in your school. Alternatively if you feel your school needs one session more than another then you can book one or two sessions only. Fees can be negotiated for whole-school INSET sessions.
Inspiring Ideas for Global Learning (Session 1) explores the questions:
What does a ‘global school’ look like?
How can global learning enhance motivation and achievement?
How can the whole school community contribute to our ‘global school’ vision?
Planning for Global Learning (Session 2) explores the questions:
How can we ensure the global learning is ‘built in’, not ‘bolted on’, to our curriculum plans?
How can global learning complement existing school plans and priorities?
How can we allocate our limited resources effectively to global learning?
Assessing Global Learning (Session 3) asks:
How do we know it’s working?
How can we show that global learning increases motivation and achievement?
What are the next steps in our global learning journey?
