Impact stories from the Early Years

Babies and toddlers are naturally curious about the world around them. Even from birth they form perceptions of people and places which are based upon the images and language experienced in their everyday environment. Learning through play enables them to make sense of their surroundings and to understand the connections they have with others who may look and behave differently to them.

Our impact stories from Early Years settings in the East of England demonstrate the many ways in which it is possible to provide a learning environment which creates an accurate understanding of the wider world without reinforcing stereotypes.
